Sumario:Research reveals that technology can be used as an educational le mology can be used as an educational resource in order to create new strategies for the teaching and learning process. This study deals wie; the use of websites as didactic tools that can facilitate the teaching of English vocabulary in the 7th grade students from El Redentor high school. The aim of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of websites in the teaching of English vocabulary in an English as a Foreign Language (EFL) class. Therefore, this resource as a new teaching method can result beneficial for both teachers and students because it can have productive results and it can improve the participation and interaction in the English class, that is why this research tries to develop an; innovative and alternative strategy for involving students in the learning of English as a foreign language. This research featured a population of 87 students who take the English class and one English teacher from El Redentor high school. In addition, there were taking as some sampling students from 7th grade where there are 12; (twelve) students and 1 (one) English teacher who attends the class. Moreover, this research featured interviews as a data collection method. The main results reveal that the use of websites inside the classroom is an innovative strategy in order to support and reinforce the lesson plans. Websites are effective for motivating students to have a significative learning of the words because it provides a lot of helpful activities to practice and acquire vocabulary.
