520 3 |a A note from Priscilla: Walnut Hollow and I became friends in the late 60s. In the early 70s, these beautiful wooder rounds, as well as the planks, were one of the most important products in the Walnut Hollow line. Today, their importance remains and perhaps is even more dominant because of our desire to paint things that are "natural". It's especially fun for me to work on these surfaces using a raw-wood or unsealed technique. By moistening the transferred design with a blending medium or thick extender, the wood stays wet. This allows more time to blend the acrylics. Not only do the projects in this book lend themselves to the natural style of decorating, many of them have a masculine feel. Seldom is it possible to dedicate a book to the men in my life, but in this case, it is appropriate. So, for all the guys who paint and for all the gals who wanto to paint something for your guys, have at it!. --  |2 Tomado de la página del índice.
