Sumario:The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of games as improvement techniques in the English teaching-learning process. The study attempted to answer whether the use of games in adolescents has a beneficial impact on the English learning process or not. The research was carried out through the following steps: Firstly, the observation of the explanation of the class given by the base teacher and Secondly, the application of games in the development of the English class where an observation guide was used by each student and an interview with the teacher, the type of research was mixed since quantitative and qualitative data were analyzed for the realization of the paper, where Excel was used for the representation of graphs, the results showed the effectiveness of the use of games to significantly increase the acquisition of the English language in the adolescents. In the research some games are recommended like: flyswatter, hangman, crosswords puzzles and others to engage students
